Product Description
Fashion the perfect setting for any occasion. Durable guaranteed against breakage, chipping, and staining. Storage stacks in less space than stoneware. Versatile refrigerator, microwave, oven, and dishwasher compatible. 1 year warranty covers normal house

Amazon.com Review
Since Corelle is famous for producing dinnerware and bakeware that cannot be broken or chipped, it's hard to resist holding a plate without wanting to drop it on the tile floor to see what happens. While Corelle doesn't recommend home tests, this casual 16-piece dinnerware set is still fairly indestructible and is a real asset for busy families. Livingware is easy to maintain as it's dishwasher-, microwave- and oven-safe and is never off-limits for small children to use and handle because of its light weight and durability.

The set is comprised of four 10-1/4-inch dinner plates, four 6-3/4-inch bread-and-butter plates, four 18-ounce bowls, and four 11-ounce mugs. Plates and bowls are all made of Corelle's signature material, Vitrelle, which is created from three layers of glass that are compressed under extreme heat and laminated for strength. On the other hand, the mugs in this set are crafted of Corelle's stoneware, which is actually breakable and has a heavier feel than Vitrelle. For diners who recall Corelle patterns as being decorated with rather cutesy floral and fruit patterns, this simple, pure white pattern is sure to appeal to their modern preferences. Livingware plates and bowls sport a relaxed and rimless coupe shape and are all stackable for more efficient storage. Corelle warrants this dinnerware pattern against cracks, chips, breakage, and staining for a full year from the date of purchase. --Cristina Vaamonde

2 out of 5 stars Flimsy, poor quality.   September 2, 2010
Daniel Orr (Milwaukee, WI, US)
The mugs that come with this set are sturdy and usable. But the plates and bowls are thin and flimsy. I'd be embarrassed to use them for visiting guests and cannot recommend them.

5 out of 5 stars Good value for very sturdy dinnerware   August 31, 2010

I've had this Corelle dinnerware for almost 10 years, and was glad to see that the newly ordered set matches perfectly. Lasts forever, and doesn't scratch or stain. Highly recommended!

5 out of 5 stars Best Everyday Dinnerware   August 24, 2010
Graeme (Canada)
I've had pieces of Corelle Livingware in the past, and I didn't consider anything else when I needed a full dinnerware set. Corelle items are weird in that they are cheap and yet still a quality product. Although the dishes are simple and light, and you probably wouldn't use them if you were having a fancy dinner, they are incredibly sturdy and difficult to break: just what you need for your everyday dinnerware. If you do break one (they don't survive a drop from 5 feet unfortunately) they break up into these shards that aren't particularly sharp and less of a pain to clean up than regular dishware. All items are a good size and have a clean look to them. As a bonus, 3 of the 4 items (other than the mugs) are Made in the USA. Great price for a great product.

5 out of 5 stars Durable plates, nice, simple look   July 19, 2010

It's hard to beat Corelle for durability. I purchased this set a month ago to add to my collection of Corelle plates that I've had for 1 year and a half. The plates have been through quite a bit of use, and still have the same quality as when I bought them. No chips, breaks, or scratches.

5 out of 5 stars Great for people with arthritis!   July 11, 2010

For someone with arthritis or other hand problems, it can be difficult and painful to manage traditional stoneware due to its weight and the fact that it chips or breaks easily if it slips through your fingers. This Corelle set is the perfect alternative, and I can say that it has actually made my life easier on a daily basis. It is the lightest, easiest to store (12 dinner plates only take up 2 ½" of space), easiest to clean (glass-smooth, no ridges), most break-resistant non-plastic dinnerware imaginable. It's microwave-safe, and you can even use the plates like a lid to cover the bowls when cooking in the microwave. In the unlikely event you break a piece, you can easily find replacements. There are many matching serving piece options available. It's extremely inexpensive.

Frost White is elegant in its simplicity, which leaves you free to use just about any linens to get the look you want, and which sets off food beautifully.

Although the cups are not vitrelle, they can be stacked in twos to save space, are not terribly heavy, are a nice size, the flared shape makes them easy to hold, and the look is an improvement over the small, hook-handled vitrelle cups (it's not possible to make a traditional loop-handled cup of vitrelle) of the 1970s. Yes, stoneware cups break or chip, but again, you can replace them easily.

The plates can also be a more elegant and green option for picnics, in place of paper plates that fly off in a breeze and have to be thrown away.
